Resources for Pupils

We appreciate that deciding what you want to do with your future is never easy, so we have compiled a selection of resources that should help you to expand your knowledge and hopefully make it easier to discover the right career for you.

No single resource will give you the answers you are looking for, so take the time to use all of these resources and talk to Mrs Durrant, Careers Adviser and you will soon find there are lots of options open to you.

What is It? 

Start Profile includes lots of information about different education and career pathways, as well as tools and techniques to support activities such as CV writing and interview preparation. 

How can I use it? 

Use the profile section to keep a personal digital record of your aspirations, achievements and choices. It will be automatically updated as you engage with content on the site. With your integrated digital locker you can store the evidence you need to demonstrate your skills and personal development.

What is It? 

Youth Employment UK is an independent, Not-For-Profit Social Enterprise Founded in 2012 to tackle youth unemployment. 

How can I use it? 

Search for information about jobs, training and apprenticeships! 

What is It? 

Career Pilot is a one stop shop for everything career related. It includes information about different qualifications, jobs in specific areas, and links between curriculum subjects and careers. 

How can I use it? 

Search for subjects/jobs that interest you, or take one of the quizzes to find out what career might suit you.  

What is It? 

Whether you're deciding what to study, planning your future career or just curious about the world of work, BBC Bitesize offers advice from experts and young people who've found a path that suits them. 

How can I use it?

Make the Futures Yours

Make the Future Yours is an exciting magazine aimed at pupils and their parents involving all things Careers. The magazine is designed to inspire young people to and signpost them to work and education opportunities. It also includes information, advice and case studies to help you or your child make the right career choices.
