Dover Christ Church Academy is part of Turner Schools, a local Multi Academy Trust, whose aim is to transform children’s futures, empower families and strengthen communities. We believe all children can succeed and thrive.
This family ethos is at the heart of our vision at Dover Christ Church Academy. We are a caring and friendly school that provides excellent pastoral care with pupil wellbeing being at the forefront of our mission.
We are a small nurturing and inclusive school that includes a Special Resource Provision, Aspen 2, within our community and offers a bespoke curriculum catering to each pupil’s individual needs. Aspen 2 ensures that our vision at Dover Christ Church Academy is a fully inclusive school where all pupils are truly valued.
We also provide extensive support for our pupils, especially those new to the school. We have a wide range of specialist staff to support pupils who need additional help, as well as dedicated non teaching staff to help manage the day to day worries and concerns of parents and children.
We offer traditional academic subjects alongside engineering, construction, catering, sports, creative arts and a vibrant extra-curricular offer ranging from film to chess, from football to pool, VR gaming to singing. We want our pupils to find their passion and be the best they can be. Alongside this our Turner 25 programme promotes opportunities that provide pupils with a chance to enhance their cultural capital including a broad range of activities, from visiting national cultural institutions, learning CPR, gaining new qualifications or even learning how to sail a boat.
Our school promotes a seven year learning journey. During this journey, we provide tailored opportunities that provide our pupils with a wide range of careers advice and guidance. Our careers programme includes visits from local, national and international employers, visits to universities and work experience placements. These opportunities provide pupils with a clear focus on where their learning journey could take them.
